Game Theory and Indeterminate Music

Lecture by Michel Roth

Game Theory and Indeterminate Music

First public presentation: Donaueschingen Festival Next Generation, Trossingen 2018.

A lecture about Game Theory and Indeterminate Music (held in German with English slides/terminology); featuring works by John Cage, Christian Wolff, Iannis Xenakis, Witold Lutoslawski, Sylvano Bussotti, Georg Friedrich Haas, Stefan Prins, Hannes Seidl, James Saunders, Dieter Roth, "Selten gehörte Musik" and Michel Roth.

The lecture ties in with an earlier (yet unpublished) lecture on anthropological game theory, systems theory and cybernetics. The summary at the end of the lecture therefore also requires previous knowledge in those fields. For copyright reasons almost all audio samples were removed.
