Learning objectives

  • The students are able to recognize the value of management systems within the context of management (strategic, operational planning). They know the ISO 9001:2000 quality management systems standard i.e. processing concept, process architecture, main and sub-processes etc. They know the methods of establishing the system in enterprises/organizations and are able to put this knowledge into practice.
  • The students know the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management systems standard. They are able to understand the meaning of direct and indirect environmental effects. They are able to create an environmental relevance matrix
  • The students know the meaning of industrial safety and knowledge management. They know how the aspects are integrated into the existing quality and environmental system.
  • The students know the meaning of key process indicators as basis for the measurability of continuous improvement in the context of the management system.
  • The students are familiar with further systems/standard /models and can oppose these to each other and evaluate them.
  • The students can apply the acquired knowledge in form of a management task
