Aspiration level Intermediate
Learning objectives The students know the structure of the legal system, the substantial sources of law as well as the methodology and technology of legal work and are able to arrange facts in the legal system. They are in particular familiar with the basic rules of the Swiss Code of Obligations as well as selected contract forms and are capable of negotiating contracts in a goal-oriented manner and of guaranteeing an efficient employment of external contract lawyers. In addition the students know the basic principles of procedural law as well as debt operation and the law of bankruptcy, and consequently they are able to make the penetration of simple requirements themselves as well as supervise complex cases. Furthermore, the students know the basic principles of the anti- trust law, intellectual property right, social security and tax law and are able to recognize and roughly judge the associated enterprise-relevant problems. Finally the students are aware of enterprise-relevant sub ranges of the environmental and product liability right in its international dimensions in the fundamentals that appropriate problem fields can be recognized and judged roughly.
